Decide on the universities, courses & institutes
Having a clear idea and finalizing on the course & university is the major step. Once you decide this, the process begins.
Trace for the mandatory documents required
Before starting the application, you should have a thorough idea regarding the necessary documents stated by the respective universities in order for the application to be accepted.
Test preparation
A mandatory test score is required for non-native English speakers which assesses their listening, reading, speaking and writing abilities who need to demonstrate their academic English capability – often to obtain places at English-speaking universities, higher education institutions or as proof of their language ability for a visa application.
Tests such as IELTS, TOEFL,and PTEare the generalized tests accepted by thousands of universities but again this depends on the university set rules and the courses you opt for.
Other tests are GMAT, GRE, SAT
| GMAT | Graduate Management Admission Test – require to be given by the candidates planning for graduate management programs at management education institutions throughout the world. |
| GRE | Graduate Record Examination – required to be given by the candidates planning to pursue graduate programs primarily in the areas of engineering and sciences at education institutions in USA. |
| SAT | Scholastic Assessment Test is required to be given by the candidates’ desire for taking admission to undergraduate programs primarily in USA and Singapore. |
The inevitable part – Preparation of SOP and LOR
SOP is the Statement Of Purpose which states a detailed explanation of your purpose of choosing the respective university and the mere interest of that particular course. This decides whether your application stands out from thousands of other applicants which in turn decides whether you get selected. So make sure to present is as well as it should be.
LOR is the Letter of Recommendation that is provided either by ` previous employer or head of the institute as a proof of your efficiency and interest in a particular subject or the work you carried out.
